Partner Robert D. Gaudioso moderated an educational panel entitled “Emerging Technologies: 5G and Beyond” at the New York State Wireless Association 2015 Tradeshow and Conference in New York City in June. The panel arranged by Mr. Gaudioso included Morgan O’Brien, Chairman of Cyren Call Communications and co-founder of Nextel, Dr. Durga Satapathy, Director of Technology Innovation and Architecture for Sprint, Tunc Yorulmaz, Vice President and CTO for its Verizon Business Unit with Ericsson, and Andrew Clegg, Google’s Spectrum Engineering Lead. The panelists gave the packed audience a glimpse into the promise of 5G, where unimaginably fast speeds, significantly reduced latency, vast system capacity and inanimate objects connected to 5G networks will lead to smart cities, driverless cars, telemedicine and the Internet of Things (“IoT”).
