On May 17, 2016, Robert D. Gaudioso, attended New York State’s Advocacy Day as co-chair of the New York State Wireless Associations Regulatory Committee and had the pleasure to meet with several New York State Senators, Members of the Assembly and their legislative staff in Albany. The day’s meetings were hosted by NYSWA’s wireless carrier partners – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Conversations were wide ranging and included among other topics – technical innovations in wireless and 5G, economic models to support rural service tower deployments, the need for urban densification with small cells and federal regulations requiring expedited municipal review for collocation and minor modifications of existing facilities.
